The original Ellerslie Table was made from a cherry tree that fell in a client’s back yard. It takes a very architectural approach in its design and finds its inspiration in the simplicity of traditional Japanese and Shaker trestle tables. Two sets of slightly angled legs that radius into a light weight skirt reinforced with an intricate grid, and sturdy central beam. Available in various sizes and species. Prices vary.

Ellerslie Table Variation 1 – The first Ellerslie Table was made a couple years ago and was about 12′ long. I’ve been wanting to try out a few smaller versions of this design for a while, so here’s the first one. It’s extra wide at 92″L x 42″W in cherry. The live-edge breadboard ends turned out beautifully.

The Mill Table consists of a bookmatched partial live edge top on four tapered legs. ½” thick hardwood inlays are used to fill knots and checks in the top. The example pictured here is in elm with a walnut base and comfortably seats 6. Prices vary with size and species.
